A fine crime action, drama and love story with a great Chow Yun Fat
and also
yet another fine film from the Golden Era Ringo Lam (before he left
Hong Kong
in the 1990's to make junk movies in Hollywood).
Chow Yun Fat really shows his range as an actor in this film, and the
kid was
fine too.
Police Sergeant Lau Meow (Chow Yun Fat) and the HK Police
raids an arms
weapons affair going on in an apartment, but the perps manages to escape.
A woman is left dead and a 4 year old kid has witnessed the shooting
of her
mother. The police finds the kid's aunt, Lee Cher (Cheri Cheung) in
the New
Territories and Lau Meow has to protect both the kid and the woman.
Lau Chun Pong AKA Meow Meow falls in love with the gorgeous Lee Cher.
The kid's father is a mobster boss and one of his underlings,
the enforcer
Bullet (Roy Cheung in yet another bad guy role) is out for revenge and
threatens both Lau, the kid and her aunt.
Tommy Wong plays Lau's cop buddy Nam.
