Suzy Kendall or Susan George ? For some reason I often mix these actresses up, but it is
Suzy Kendall in Dario Argento's "The Bird with the Crystal Plumage", one of my favourite
gialli. Here she plays an american art student at the university (of Perugia?). Her name is
Jane and her buddies are Daniela (Tina Aumont), Ursula (Carla Brait) and Katja (Angela
Covello). Carla Brait can be seen also in "The Case of the Bloody Iris" as the black girl
who's getting drowned in the bathtub Mario Bava style.

But, nothing is copacetic at the Art School as this is an early 70's Italian giallo thriller
and a bestial murderer is on the loose. Two girls, Flo and Carol have been strangled with
red scarfes and Daniela know she has seen someone wearing that scarf, but who was it?
She just can't remember it .... yet.

The problems are mounting when Daniela's ex-boyfriend Stefano stalks her, and when a
relative lends her his villa up in the hills she goes there with Jane, Ursula and Katja.
Jane dates her teacher and inspector Enzo di Salvo investigates.
Stiff actor Luc Merenda plays Franz the village doctor. Is he dead ? Terrible actor
