Hong Kong 2003 DVD

A mighty fantasy-adventure from the mythic times when Man co-existed with Gods. As somewhat in Nausicaa,
Miyazaki here's pessimisticly critical against man's devastating destructive influence on nature.

Young warrior Ashitaka get's wounded from a dying demon wild-boar God and he get's demon powers. He travels
through the wild countryside along with robbers, samurai's and nature-spirits and reaches the city of Lady Ebashi, an
(iron-) mining city ruled by women, with destroyed woods around it. A forest ruled by the deer-God and protected
by a flock of Wolves and wolf princess, human girl San - Mononoke raised, as Mowgli, by the wolves. Together with
the wild boars, ruled by the God Okkoto, they start the fight against Ebashi's modern fire-weapons, and Ashitaka is
between the two sides, which side will he join? A majestic and seemingly heartfelt anime by Miyazaki
