A really intense and disturbing Crime Drama. Well
made and well acted and another fine film
from the great Aldo Lado, and apparently his version of Wes Craven's
1972 "The Last House
on the Left" or Ingmar Bergman's "Virgin Spring". Theme:
Parents extracting revenge.
The soundtrack from Ennio Morricone and Demis Roussos can be heard during
the credits.
The film does not show any nudity or gore but still
manages to be sleazy, horrific and disturbing
and Macha Méril's portrayal of true Evil gave me the chills.
Macha Méril known to every horror
fan as the German psychic helga Ullman in the beginning of Dario Argento's
"Deep Red".

It's Christmas time and two cousins and friends Lisa
(Laura D'Angelo) and Margareth (Irene
Miracle) are taking the train from Munich to Verona, Italy to visit
Lisa's parents during the
weekend. Her parents are having a christmas party and eagerly awaits
the girls arrival.
Lisa's father Doctor Giulio Stradi played by Enrico Maria Salerno, and
Irene Miracle is
surely best known for her dive into the submerged room in Dario Argento's
"Inferno".
And, hey, Flavio Bucci was spectacularily killed by his dog in Argento's
"Suspiria".
Two lowlife criminals are chased by German cops and jumps onto and hides
in the
train. As soon as the train is moving they start to act aggressive and
noisy and an
upper class veiled lady (Macha Méril) joins the two ruffians
attracted by their lack of
abandon and their proneness to violence.
The Terror Trio starts harassing the two girls, sexually molesting and
even ... worse.

These scenes were hard to watch.
The Evil Train Lady is the one leading her dimwitted
boys on, egging them. The two
criminals played by Flavio Bucci and GianFranco De Grassi.
A typical 1970's Italian leftist take, The Evil in society emanating
from the Upper Crust,
here represented by Macha Méril's veiled lady.
Note February 2026: And.... Lado was right. Writing
this in the storm of the Epstein
documents and with the revelation that The
Upper Crust is indeed EVIL.
