Warning - This Anime May Bite You!
The Yasuomi Umetsu Sex and Violence Masterpiece No. 2
Yes, this anime's controversial too, there's lots and lots of ultra-violence
action and 2 wild hardcore scenes.
But, Mezzo Forte's not at all as grim and dark as the noirish journey into urban
hell in his masterpiece A Kite.
This is more of a slightly burlesque and sick (in a good way) crime action-comedy
and sort of a X-rated pilot
to the following TV-series DSA (Danger Service Agency) done in the trademark
Umetsu stylish brilliance way.
As usual it was met by a scream of outrage from
the prudish cutie-cute anime-lover crowd (it's just another
hentai, it's just another hentai, sounds their chant) but hailed as an (almost)
masterpiece of inspired anime action
by others.
The Ex-cop Kurokawa, or Pops (dishonourably
discharged from the police force) has got a team, DSA (Danger
Service Agency) a sort of combined detective bureau- and assassins for rent
service, consisting of Harada (the
android maker expert) and the young super-killer, The Orange Girl, Mikura,
sort of a more cheery version of
the teenage girl killer Sawa from A Kite.
When they kidnap the stinking rich owner of the baseball team The Peach Twisters,
they're not to happy to hear
that the man actually is the feared gangster boss Momoi Momokichi. And even
worse, they're now hunted by his
beautiful teenage daughter Momomi, a legendary psychotic monster
who get's turned on by sadistic killings.
