Script and direction by Alejandro Amenábar, the talented man from Spain with films as
Tesis and Abre Los Ojos behind him when making this Blockbuster HIT - Psychological
supernatural thriller and probably inspired by Henry James novel The Turn of the Screw.
The film was shot in english (The Others) but filmed and produced in Spain.

Grace (Kidman) lives in a big mansion in the Channel Islands (supposedly, film shot in
Spain) with her two kids Anne and Nicholas. The film plays out sometime after the WW2
and Grace's husband was lost and presumably killed during the war.
The Kids says there's a boy and an old scary lady there with them sometimes and also
Grace can hear strange and disturbing sounds now and then. Are there Ghosts there ?
