The Horrible Sexy Vampire (El vampiro de la Autopista / The Vampire of the Highway, 1971)

A very BAD Spanish vampire horror from 1970/1971 directed and written by José Luis
Madrid who directed the much better Paul Naschy giallo "7 Murders for Scotland
Yard" in 1971 (a film that also starred Patricia Loran).
Madrid directs this clunker under alias Arthur Davidson (sometimes Jim Delavena).

This trashy and sometimes excruciatingly slow film are often interrupted by scenes
with women who takes off their clothes. This to awaken the otherwise put to deep
sleep viewers, as the plot of the film isn't that interesting.

The Film: (names differ in audio versions. Waldemar Wohlfart AKA Wal Davis)

People are killed in the vicinity of a motorway (and somehow this is connected to
real serial murders and for which the star of this film was a suspect. More about
this in the commentary). But in this film an old castle is suspected to be involved.

Baron/Count Adolf Vishnevsky/Count Oblensky (Waldemar Wohlfart) arrives to
Germany (and the film was shot in West-Germany) and a castle in the Black Forest
to inherit the Castle of the evil Baron Von Frauler/Baron Winninger (Wohlfart).
Also, Adolf wants to live in the castle to debunk the myths about the castle and
soon his girlfriend Marianne (Patricia Loran)) arrives to keep him company in his
dreary old castle (and to strip out of her clothes to cheer up the bored viewers).

Baron Adolf tells the police inspector (Barta Barri/Barry) that he has seen his
scary ancestor shuffle around in the castle but the inspector won't believe him
as he's a rational and don't believe in ghosts.
Waldemar Wohlfart plays both the living Baron and the dead vampire Baron.

Film presented in widescreen 2.35:1 with Spanish or English audio DTS-HD MA
and with english subtitles. Extras:
Audio commentary with David Flint and Adrian J. Smith,
