A very nice coming of age drama about teenager highschool girl
Makoto who likes to hang around
with the boys, playing baseboll with buddies Chiaki and Kosuke. She's thinking
about her future
school choices and the upcoming summer vacation when she suddenly discover her
ability to leap
through time, a talent that can be used in many handy ways.
Beautifully done on the Tsutsui Yasutaka story, filmed many times before, and
in 1983 in Girl of Time.
This is naturally stuff far, far away from the hysterical computer 3 D animated
garbage that western
kids have to suffer with maniacal stereotyped animals and fantasy creatures
of every kind. Yuck, that
Disney and Pixar manipulative shit, and would be no surprise if it got subliminal
messages too, to make
future good patriot fascist citizens out of these western kids.
This Hong Kong edition in anamorphic widescreen and 2.0 japanese sound with
english subs, gallery
and an interview with the Hong Kong narrator girl seen on the sleeve (in cantonese
without subs)
