Fright (1971)

UK Studio Canal 2019 Blu-ray edition

Susan George warmed up for the brutal home invaders of 1971 Sam Peckinpah's classic thriller Straw Dogs, with this forgotten British
horror-thriller about a frightened teenage babysitter who's stalked by a home invading psychopath. Made earlier in 1971 this film is
no classic though, but it's OK in a B way with good acting from Ian Bannen as Brian, and Susan George may not impress much as an
actress here but she's lovely in her miniskirt and looks appropriately frightened through most of the movie, a Scream Queen role.

Student Amanda (George) is a babysitter at the Lloyd's house as mama and papa are having a night out, but Mrs. Lloyd (Honor Blackman,
forever of Pussy Galore in Goldfinger fame) and her husband seem to be a bit tense, is there something they forgot to tell Amanda?
Yes, a small thing like that her crazed husband Brian (Ian Bannen), who tried to murder her, has escaped from his mental asylum, and
no-one knows where he's heading. The answer to that Amanda soon is about to know.

The British Police in this film are even more bumbling than the Keystone Cops, and beware of that worthless police sniper.

This Blu-ray presented the film in 1.66:1 ratio with english LPCM mono audio with english subtitles, region B.
