This is an only OK giallo due to the
not very exciting script, but where this film shines
is with the 1. Outstanding cinematography from Master Vittorio Storaro,
seldom if ever
has a Giallo looked better, maybe even as a piece of photographic Art,
and 2. The
soundtrack by Ennio Morricone.
It's New Year's Eve and people are partying at a Club
when a killer calls by phone and
says that he/she will kill five people during the New Year.

The Bini couple, wheelchair bound Mrs. Sofia Bini (Rossella
Falk) and Dr. Riccardo Bini
(Renato Romano) is the first to be picked off when handicapped Sofia
is killed.
Poor Rossella had disturbing murder scenes as also e.g. her bathtub
death in Umberto
Lenzi's 1972 "Seven Blood Stained Orchids" and she's out of
the film early on.
The from J&B whiskey drunk crime reporter Andrea
Bild (Franco Nero) starts sleuthing
around the mysterious murders and he himself gets threatening phone
calls from the
killer to stop his investigating. The 2nd victim is an old journalist
and the 3rd victim
is Isabel (Ira Furstenberg). Andreas girlfriend Lu Ader is played by
Pamela Tiffin.
Text below in Swedish:
Fantastiskt foto av mästaren Vittorio Storaro i
bra, konstnärlig giallo med musik av
Ennio Morricone. Franco Nero är nedsupne journalisten Andrea Bild
som utreder en
serie mord i vädurens tecken.
(on the Moon) med den magnifika Florinda Bolkan i huvudrollen
som en vilsen kvinna som inte kan minnas vad hon gjort de 3 sista dagarna.
