China O'Brien: Director Robert Clouse
Cynthia's first US film shot in Park City, Utah at times
parallell with Blonde Fury/Lady
Reporter resulting in a sudden shifts in hairdo's in i.a. Blonde Fury.
A pretty entertaining B-movie with almost constant fighting with the
baddie underlings.
BUT miles, oceans, from the martial arts action quality seen in e.g.
Blonde Fury. But it
is what it is, Cynthia Rothrock never made a film again with HK quality
in the action.
Cynthia is a Kung Fu instructor police woman, China
O'Brien) who quits the police force
after mistakingly shooting and killing a young unarmed thug.
She moves home again, to the country village/town Beaver Creek where
her father is
the Sheriff, but a bad rough crowd have taken over the place and he's
without power.
The Crime Boss, Summers (Steven Kerby) runs the place and has corrupted
one of the
sheriff deputies, Lickner (Patrick Adamson) and even the towns Judge.
Summers murders China's father and also the only other
good sheriff in town, and
China decides to run for being the new sheriff. Everything is brewing
to a violent
showdown and China is helped by her old schoolmate Matt
(Richard Norton) and by
a young native guy, Dakota (Keith Cooke, who
showcases his MA talent).
