B trashy but somewhat entertaining italian grindhouse thriller that
supposedly takes place in the US desert but probably were
shot in Italy ? The Story: Avenger vs. Goldminers.
A man walking with a limp and with help of a crutch
has his car breaking down somewhere in the outback. He, "the cripple"
(Richard Harrison) continues on foot and finally reaches an isolated
run-down mining village and where he's met with open
hostility, and on his way he was also almost run over by an ill-tempered
lorry driver, Karl (Antonio Casale).
At the village bar (where everyone drinks J&B whiskey) he's told
that the unlikeable Karl owns the place and that his trashy
but luscious red-headed wife Rita (Euro Trash Cinema legend) Dagmar
Lassander causes trouble and Karl's rage when she
shows herself naked to the sex-starved men of the village.
All the men seems to be hiding in this forgotten mining
village and The Cripple is only welcome to stay (sleeping in a stable)
after showing off his wad of bills. But he's not wanted, by anyone except
horny Rita, and Karl and his buddy Gordon (Gordon
Mitchell) wonder who he really is and what he's doing there. Like a
pressure cooker the tensions are rising.
The film is presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen
