Most Russian horror movies i've seen have been slightly generic and resembling the Hollywood one's but they often have an
atmospheric feeling to them, and so also with this possessed by something (maybe an Ice Demon ?) horror flick released by a
US company. Also, these films often have got fine soundtracks and cute Alena Babak is fine in the main role (she was great
also in the 2015 The Queen of Spades: The Black Rite (Pikovaya dama: Chyornyy obryad) but still a kid then. Alena Babak
the Russian Scream Queen ?

In the intro of this film two women gets stuck in a winter storm, raises a tent, finds a corpse buried in the snow and later in the
night gets attacked by something monstruos trying to enter their tent. One of the girls dies and the other one, Alya (Anastasia
Gribova) is in a coma and the found dead body in the snow is Matvei Savelyeva (Andrey Marusin). He disappeared 10 years
ago and he's the father of Ksyusha Savelyeva (Alena Babak) and he's somehow in a coma too even though he's really dead.

Young Ksyusha lives with her mother Tanya (Olga Lomonosova) and her stepfather Misha (Aleksey Rozin) in a scruffy
looking house, The House of Ectoplasm, and her mother decides to bring her ex-husband and Ksyusha's father home lying
in a coma. Something that Misha isn't very happy with as Tanya starts acting creepy about having Matvei back home
and he also has to worry about his stepdaughter's company, teenage guy Semyon (Gleb Kalyuzhnyy) who've stolen the
Magnum revolver of his cop father Fedya (Igor Khripunov) and maybe is up to no good.

Vera is a doctor from the outside of the village who investigates the mystery of Matvei, the living dead corpse, and soon
people start to die. Is there something demonic outside in the woods and what happened 10 years ago ?
The film is presented in widescreen 2.39:1 with an russian audio DTS-HD MA 5.1 or 2.0 and with english subtitles.
