What a fascinating face she has, Brigitte Lahaie. I've only seen 3-4
movies with her, 2 Jean Rollin one's, Jesús Franco's great
1988 surgery horror "Faceless", and then this one. She was
great in "Faceless" and good in the rest. Even if she's in
a really
bad movie, like this one, she's good as her fascinating face enthralls
you and she also wisely underplays her role character.
This is not a horror film, it's a Crime Action and it's
not a classic or cult either .... or, maybe among the Brigitte Lahaie
fans it's
cult movie ? But i wedge it in here on my Horror Film Page as a coupling
to her great horror, the 1988 "Faceless".
Reading the blurbs on the bluray sleeve you wonder if you've seen the
same film ? It surely is not a crime masterpiece, and
it's a shame Ed Wood, Jr. isn't alive today as i'm sure his crime flic
"Jailbait" would've been hailed too.
"The Female Executioner" is C grade crap made by a delightfully
incompetent "director" and he even admits it in the extras
interview and jokes about it. Michel Caputo seems to be a really nice
guy who won't take himself too seriously.

Is that a cool pic or not ?
In this film Brigitte Lahaie plays the rock-hard crime
Cop Martine Savignac and she's on the hunt after a nasty gang of
Child video pornographers. Mrs. Nadine Wenders (Dominique Erlanger)
runs a nightclub and a casino and she is the
Big Boss of a strong criminal gang. A customer with a gambling debt
is forced to pay back by kidnapping a young girl
for the Organisation's white slavery racket. Valmont (Pierre Oudry)
is a colleague cop and the boyfriend of Martine, and
Joelle is Martine's kid sister. But, both are killed by Nadine Wenders
who smiles and blow them to pieces.

Time for Revenge. Antoine (Michael Godin) is Nadine's
son and he suddenly changes side and becomes Martine's
buddy, and always sabotaging Martine's progress is her corrupted old
Commissary (Michel Modo, who's the best
actor in the film) and he's an old friend (and ex-boyfriend) to Nadine
Wenders.
Some good things in the film was a good old Burning
Suit effect (today shitty CGI is used instead) and a nicely made
collision between two cars going in decent speed (today CGI crap is
used). Also Brigitte Lahaie in the nude.
The rivalling drug gang to Wenders gang was clearly not Chinese but
Thai.
The film is presented in 1.66:1 ratio with french or
english audio mono and with english subtitles, region all.
