This China produced Hong Kong Crime Action with it's
premier December 6th
2023 has Nick Cheung as the not so successful narcotics cop Bond.
He constantly loses the men of his squad in failed drugbusts. They die
in
numbers but somehow Nick's officer Bond, with a perpetual miserable
gloomy
stare, still is allowed to be the leader of his pained narcotics squad.
Loser officer Bond has a mole cop working for him. Ming
(Wlilliam Chan) who
has infiltrated the gang of drug lord Young (Shaun Tam). Young's provider
in
the Golden Triangle is (Vietnamese?) Nguyen. Young is selling the drugs
to the
Japanese Yakuza and as the Hong Kong police (mainly due to Ming) makes
trouble for Young, he needs help.
Nguyen sends the drugmaker woman Ying Xiu (Isabella
Leong) and her brother
Han (Bryant Mak) to Hong Kong to help Young fulfill hisdeal with the
Yakuza.
But when Xiu arrives to Hong Kong with her teenage daughter Ling (Natalie
Hsu)
the girl gets kidnapped and the police gets involved. Xiu want to leave
the
narcotics making business and to rip off Nguyen and it ends in a bloody
chaos.
Dante Lam is back in Hong Kong after making action blockbusters
in mainland
China and "Bursting Point" is VERY VIOLENT and was restricted
in Hong
Kong for an audience 18 years or older.
